often feel exhausted when individuals deliver speeches about rural development and how it ought to be approached. I'm weary of being told what I should and shouldn't do by those who have no real involvement in the matter. It's frustrating to deal with numerous government officials who see themselves as superior and try to undermine you at every turn.

Rural development is a gradual process, not just a topic for discussion. While reports hold significance, they are not solely for reading; they must also prompt action. How can we ensure a secure future for our rural youth when we struggle to provide for our urban communities? Taking initiative is crucial, and turning that initiative into tangible actions is essential.

For me, I view vertical farming as a sustainable answer to our challenges with food scarcity, land use, water conservation, forest management, nutritional advancement, organic practices, and education. My goal is to empower every smallholder farmer to engage in vertical farming as a means of diversifying crops and increasing yields.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

One important insight I gained about rural India when I began the SBI YFI fellowship was that education was not focused on achieving specific real world knowledge based objectives; instead, it was primarily about meeting numerical targets (and it still is).

In 2017, I launched Village Solution (VSOL) to provide children with the opportunity to express themselves, but in a structured way. I aimed to challenge them to embrace uniqueness, all while staying within their comfort zones.

"NEVER THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX" is my guiding principle. I focused on creating our own box and incorporating external factors into our sphere of influence. This approach fosters a journey of growth driven by experiences that align with goals and values.

Unfortunately, VSOL had to shut down due to financial difficulties, but this setback prompted me to start my own venture and the 5rs a soap initiative. This journey has now led me to develop the ETA model (Education Through Agriculture model).

@pinkyat29 and I started our rural journey with the SBI youth for India fellowship 2017-18 cohort. The journey has been incredible. She joined another fellowship and then @synergysansthan and now she is at Vikas Samwad in Bhopal,MP. She now leads the YUVArta fellowship regarding yourth leadership. Her work has been truly inspirational and It has been truly a privilege to be a part of it.

Recently, she married to @sunil_ivane who works in the social sector and is an upcoming powerhouse In the domain of social political leadership .

I named Saahsi meaning Daring after her and her incredible journey in this sector.

To thank my inspirations for their amazing work, I name my soaps after them and Pinky has been brilliant.
