Rekha Tara Kali – Inspired by the women of Udaypur Gaon

I have always asked myself,’How can I make a change in someone’s life? how can I make a macro change to the environment around me? how can I give back?’. The answers to these questions aren’t simple.I went with the notion of trying to help one person and then slowly one village. Rural India is diverse, you find people who don’t want your help and some who are happy for it, some who are burnt by previous failures and thus closed to the notion of change and some welcome it. I was lucky to find three women whose families welcomed me into their village. They understood what I wanted to achieve and throughout the 3 years (including my 13 month fellowship program) and have always supported me. The three pillars have helped build our small enterprise and have always stuck with me through thick and thin.
